Nowadays, the number of Chinese students studying abroad is increasing rapidly, and more and more self-funded students are studying abroad. When most of the students return from studying abroad, they return home with pride and pride, only to find that due to improper storage of their personnel files, the students inadvertently become "unemployed people".。

Improper storage of personnel files brings a lot of inconvenience for students to work and settle down after returning home。

Personnel files record the personal experience of students, including school cards, transcripts, certificates of rewards and punishments, party and league information, etc., are the true historical records of students' life, study and various social practices during the school period, and are the main basis for students' future employment and future selection, appointment and assessment of various units。

It is reported that at present, returnees who have studied abroad need personal files for postgraduate entrance examination, civil service examination, calculation of service age, job transfer, regular grading, title declaration, handling various social insurance and further study, especially in state-owned enterprises and institutions, personnel files are essential。

So, during the study abroad, how do students keep and store personnel files? This is a problem that all overseas students must face。

At present, the state generally adopts three management methods for the personal files of college students who have not yet been employed after graduation:

1. Transfer the files to the place of origin and receive them by the personnel bureau of the prefecture-level city。

This way is more suitable for graduates who are ready to be employed within the scope of the student source and graduates who do not want to be employed for the time being, advantages: it is simple and convenient to handle the formalities after employment in the student source, and disadvantages: if you leave the student source within two years, you need to re-handle the reassignment procedures。

Second, leave the files in the school, after the implementation of the work unit, the household registration and files moved to the location of the work unit, apply for the file to stay in school for more than two years still not implemented, the school will move its files and accounts back to the source of students, the school will no longer issue employment registration certificate。

This way is suitable for graduates who have a desire for employment but have not yet been employed, advantages: the school has a high degree of integrity, and does not charge extra fees for the custody of account relations and files, its disadvantages: the graduate file retention only extends the career period, and the school has no personnel affiliation, and the proof of personnel relations can not be issued。

3. Transfer files to employment agents or talent exchange centers。

This way is more suitable for graduates preparing for postgraduate entrance examination, entrepreneurship, flexible employment, the advantage is that it is easy for graduates to solve some practical problems, the disadvantage is that if graduates and guidance center communication is relatively little, it is easy to cause poor information。

It is understood that at present, there are many problems in the file management of people who study abroad at their own expense, especially students who study abroad through intermediaries or informal cooperative programs。

Due to the lack of awareness of the seriousness and importance of personnel file management by students and parents, the files of students studying abroad are kept by individuals, resulting in the loss of files or the death of files that cannot be transferred, which brings inconvenience to the work and life of overseas students in the future。

In addition, there are many students before going abroad, failed to settle their own files, only to find that their files are lost after returning to China, which also brings a lot of trouble to return to employment and future development。

It is especially important to remind international students that they must properly keep their personnel files before studying abroad, transfer them to units or institutions with file storage qualifications, and do not keep them at home for personal storage。According to the relevant regulations, the archives are generally not allowed to be held by individuals。
